“I was so excited to see this book published just before our trip to Italy with our kids, ages 10 and 13. One of our stops in Italy was spending three days in the Dolomites and I was having a very hard time planning this part of the trip due to the fact it is left out of most guidebooks of Italy (I don’t know why more Americans don’t go here - it was our favorite stop!) This book was perfect for this. We also used the book in Venice and did a quick stop for lunch at a town on Lake Garda, also using recommendations of this book. I loved the format of this book, using suggested itineraries in each location which helped group different sites/activities together. It also gave a lot of opinions on what things are worth seeing and doing for kids of different ages when you have limited time. Once we arrived in Venice and realized how good the book was, we ended up relying on this book as our primary source for organizing our time in both Venice and the Dolomites. We also used many of the restaurant recommendations. This book was also very helpful in giving very good practical information.
